Dad Phrases
Ali and I have very different dads, but I feel like the picture below sounds like something either one of them would say.
Dorm Art
This is a small portion of a bigger piece of artwork that Ali did so that I wouldn't be lonely in my big white dorm room. People loved hanging out in my room because it was the only place with color on the walls. At least, inside the dorms. The basement at art camp was a free-for-all where people painted murals and grafittied all over the place. Thanks to folks who have sent me emails about liking Ali's art. I like it to. This image isn't really representative, but I kept relatively few of the pictures she sent me. Mostly, my little sister kept the rest and hung them up in her room when I moved away to college.

Eff Yeah Glitter
A good friend knows how much fun it is to open a letter and have glitter spill out all over your bed.

Bad Naked
This is the whole letter sent to me by Ali.
I think it references a Friends episode that I saw. And then referenced said episode while primping for winter formal when Erin LaRue took a picture of me as I was squeezing into a pair of nude pantyhose. The result was bad naked. But apparently I either had brilliant comic timing or used this phrase a lot because at least four different people wrote "good naked" or "bad naked" on the envelopes of several letters they sent me at camp. If Erin has said photo, I might post it here if it's not too scandalous and somewhat entertaining.

this is dedicated to the Premie I love
In an effort to make up for the several days of blogging that I have missed because I was too lazy to bend down under my desk to reach the scanner, this will be a longer entry than usual. Plus, I think it's time to expand this blog a lil bit.
There was another pea in this friendship pod. That pea was named Robby Lucido, a.k.a Premie. Why premie, you ask?
Because he was the most adorable premie baby ever! At least, I think this photo is Robby. Judging by the mischievous grin. And that this photo is dated 1983. Although, this might also be my cousin. Who is named Robbie. But I'm 80% sure this is Premie.
So, while Ali was sending me letters, what was Premie doing? Well, working at the golf course. I don't remember much about his summer, but I think he schmoozed rich guys for tips while he was a caddy. And then he got promoted to working in the Proshop. I know this because I got a letter about it.
He was also doing this:
And, at some point he got a haircut. Which he wrote me a letter about. And then sent me a picture of said hair cut.
Thank you, premie. While I may not see you often, I can always look at this picture.
